Price is TBD and initial availability in November 2014Shimano wrote:Di2 ADAPTER FOR BOSCH E-BIKE SYSTEM
Today Shimano and Bosch announced a cooperation to improve the performance and compatibility of E-Bike components. By introducing an adapter Shimano’s electronic shifting system (Di2) with internal hub gear will be integrated to BOSCH’ E-bike system. This Di2 adapter gets power from the BOSCH battery and communicates gear positions through the BOSCH display. The full integration between Shimano’s Di2 motor unit (MU-S705) and BOSCH’ drive unit makes it possible to shift more smoothly.
In the E-bike market that still grows in Europe but now also globally, Shimano wants to improve the performance and provide products as a system component supplier.
The model numbers of the new parts are;
• EW-EX010 Electronic cable adapter of Di2 shifting system for BOSCH E-bike system
• EW-JC200 Junction for e-tube cable, EW-SD50 with 2 ports
Shimano’s Di2 adapter (EW-EX010) is compatible with these BOSCH systems;
• 2nd generation of Active line for EU (25km/h)
• 2nd generation of Performance line for EU (25km/h)
The new adapter does not work with BOSCH 1st generation line and S-Pedelec (45km/h) line.
These Shimano Internal Hub Gear models are compatible with BOSCH’ system;
• ALFINE SG-S705 (11-speed) and SG-S505 (8-speed)
• Nexus SG-C6060 (8-speed) models
See for more information regarding compatibility the attached compatibility chart.

Over a year digging this but it's on the first page still =D
I have a Reid imported Corratec 29er Diamond Trekking that uses a Bosch Performance Line with regular Alfine 8 rear hub (SG-S501), not the Di2 option.
It turns out back pedalling is instantly recognised for cutting the e-power, so you get into a car/motorbike 'clutching' type habit of back-pedalling for a split second to make a smooth shift before pedalling forward again.
