250watts and also throttle.
Postby leovendramini » Sat Nov 21, 2015 9:43 am
Lately I have seen selling on Ebay several 250w bikes that also include a throttle .I thought 200w was the maximum allowable power if a throttle was also included.Personally,I am not complaining about this new trend. My next E bike will be of the new sort as I am convinced a throttle will be handy starting from standstill on a fully laden bike and facing a hill before me.

It is relevant to specify the jurisdiction in these sorts of posts.leovendramini wrote:Lately I have seen selling on Ebay several 250w bikes that also include a throttle .I thought 200w was the maximum allowable power if a throttle was also included.Personally,I am not complaining about this new trend. My next E bike will be of the new sort as I am convinced a throttle will be handy starting from standstill on a fully laden bike and facing a hill before me.

I did check if it was posted in a state sub-group and it isn't. But even if it had been it should be stated. Clearly and simply.leovendramini wrote:Please re read the post. The jurisdiction is openly implied.

I don't think the jurisdiction matters - Anyway, throttles are legal up to 6kph on 250w EN15194 compliant pedelecs.
