I have just picked up my new Giant TCR SL LTD With full Di2 Durace.
I am trying to figure out how to add the Fly module so I can monitor gears etc through a Magellan 505.
Great if anyone can help sort out details updates etc.
Thanks

You buy the dfly unit plus an extra di2 cable (to your desired length).
You unplug one of the existing di2 cables (say from your rear derailleur) and plug that cable into the dfly unit.
You then plug the new cable into the dfly unit and the other end into the spot where you pulled the existing cable out.
Update all firmware.
Then go through the required pairing process for your unit.

As above. The gotcha is the extra wire you have to buy that doesn't come with the unit which is about $28 for a tiny little thing (150mm) or some people buy a bigger wire and stick it internal in the seat tube/seat post.

Fitting the D-Fly in line just before the rear derailleur is probably the tidiest mounting, just strap it to the seatstay & you're away.
Another little trick; there is a secret button in the peak of each shifter head on Dura-Ace Di2, which can be used with suitably updated computers to control some functions in that. Check with Magellan if this is supported or not.

I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

On a similar topic, Does anyone know if the XTR di2 display can be used with road groups?

Due to the unique programming of the XTR system I'm highly doubtful the display will work with road groups.
