Giant hits a Roadbike with the Ugly E-Stick

Electrified motors have already hit road bikes before and it never seems to be a good combination. Giant are now getting into the action with e-bikes available to UK customers.

It doesn't pass as an attractive road bike in my book. The fat down tubes work well optically on urban and commuter bikes though there is a limit when it comes to style.

Well, Giant have never made a decent looking bike. But, I dunno - some seem to get electric pretty right...

I'd take the specialized over that any day.

I've seen chinese kit build bikes that look better than that.

Giant is the Toyota of bikes. Uninteresting, but tough and reliable. Substance beats style any time.

The down tube needs to at least continue a uniform profile up to the top tube. Still not pretty but would be a slight improvement.

I want a fast e-bike for motorpacing.
