Now that SA motorists have had some time to get used to the new road rules requiring minimum distances when passing cyclists on the road, I'm interested in cyclists impressions of how things have changed?
In particular I'm keen to hear from cyclists who ride in over 60 kph zones on country roads.
What I have found that when there in no approaching traffic motorists generally give a wide berth, i.e. 1.5 metres plus. This is great!

However, almost without exception when there is oncoming traffic motorists continue their old ways of not slowing down until they can safely pass giving 1.5 metres distance to the cyclist (me
