Chased by a crow on my commute this pm

I was chased by a crow form the corner of Gympie Rd and Robinson Rd in Aspley heading outbound on my commute home this evening. It was about 5.45pm. Say What? ?

He wasn't anywhere near as aggressive as a maggie, tending to be a few meters behind and above me, but everytime I took my eyes off him (so I could watch where I was going) he'd come down closer. I wasn't keen for him to have a propper go though, so kept looking at him.

Its a spot with lots of traffic entering and leaving the various driveways of shops etc so you need to be watching the road not the sky...anyone else had an encounter here??

Its part of my regular commute, but I am usually a bit later than this so maybe it is usually a bit darker. I've never encountered this bird before.

Bugger...... I've never had any drama's there before....but then again maybe they're hungry since McDonalds isn't there anymore.....

He hasn't shown up again so seems like it was just an aberration.

Perhaps he was just waiting for a truck driver to create some more carrion for him.....

Seems odd for a crow though - they're usually quite cautious animals.

You do realise that crows are said to be the guardians of the soul on its trip to the afterlife.....

Perhaps there was something you didn't know about just around the bend in the road which you didn't take.....

If it comes back - you'll know you're in trouble..... (but stay away from the salmon mousse just in case).
