I ride with WATCAC who organising rides for those with no/limited sight. Our trailer was stolen last week with 6 tandems inside. Please see below Facebook link which includes photos. If you spot them, let me know as we need them back. They are unique to Perth, and being tandems, there are not many of them.
The trailer was located by police but was empty of the tandems.

Sometime during the night hours 27 to 28 Mar 2019 the WATCAC trailer was stolen for a member's driveway in Bassendean.
The theft has been reported to the Police.
The trailer contained 2 x red straight bar tandems, 3 x Vetta road tandems (2 x black and 1 x blue) and 1 x Contarino black road tandem.
These tandems were recently involved in the Canteen Lifecycle Charity Ride from Perth to Busselton 300kms over 3 days. The loss of these tandems causes considerable hardship of our ability to cater for the Blind and Vision Impaired.
The Trailer has (had) the distinctive number-plate 1BIKE42
If you see any of these tandems, or the trailer out and about please contact us and the police.

I used to ride with a similar programme in Melbourne so I appreciate your loss.
However tandems are few and far between so I assume that you are keeping a keen eye on Gumtree etc.

Wow, people steal some weird stuff. What they heck are they going to do with 6 tandems? I've got one and I can't find a stoker! I've been trying to sell without any success, I don't think there's much of a market for them here. Awkward to ship too.

You stated in your post rolandp that the trailer was sighted by Police but was minus the Tandems...so was it stolen again..like as in still missing?
Sorry to hear of your loss but to get rid of that many tandems wouldn't be easy without a lot of effort.
Hope you find them soon...not only for your sake but for the ones who you bring joy to.

Sadly the six stolen tandems haven't been located.
They were located in a locked up trailer, which was located behind a locked gate. The thieves cut off the locks from the gate, and stole the trailer. The trailer was located later that day, the locks had been cut off the trailer doors, and the tandems had been taken.
We have been searching Gumtree, MarketPlace etc, but so far, they haven't been listed.
The way the bikes were stolen, they weren't covered by insurance.
