Giant PA2 rims or Mavic Ksyrium Elite.

I have just up graded my old Giant for a Giant Propel.
My question is do I change the Mavic Ksyrium elite rims
to my Propel and put the Giant PA2 rims on the old bike before I sell it.
I have weight both rims and the Mavic a lighter.

I would lean toward keeping the Giant PA2's (I believe they worked with DT Swiss in designing the hubs) on the Propel as they are supposedly very tough. I say this subjectively though, as I've given up on Mavic entirely due to the hassle in getting parts.

And I'm not sure an $800 wheelset is much of an upgrade, if any, over the PA2's. The Mavics come in at 1670gms, the PA2 apparently are a smidgen over 1800gm. I'd suggest maybe leaving the Mavics on the old Giant, sell it off, and stash some $s away for a handbuilt set of wheels for the Propel to suit your riding environment. That's just my $0.02.
