That's not a 90's Veneto, it's one of the new ones. Overpriced.

This, however:

Keep up, Jim

That Montello reminds me of mine when I first got mine - crappy blue paint and Shimano 600 groupset. Of course, mine was only $300. :D

Anyone know about Pinarello Veneto?

My google-fu is not good enough to find much information on this cro-mo bicycle.

Now add up what you've spent to get it to the current state...

There are a lot of crap mid-school reissues, it's turning into 'BMX World v2'. The ownership of names and such being passed around is diluting a lot of good stuff.

Of course, now could be a good time to investigate folding bikes for mixed-mode transport for going back to work:

Believe it or not I did keep a running tally of what I spent on it.

Also, that's mean.

Well, decals are one way to make a black bike more attractive.

I normally don't care for yellow bikes, but the decals work for me :)

Tandem recumbent!

You could take the front seat out and just have a normal recumbent, Jim.

I have to get myself a Cannondale sometime. They're so droolworthy.

But looks a bit like my Teschner now that i've done it up.
It had an 12t cassette locking nut on a 11t cog :(, and brake outie was too short for me to put on a longer (prolite) stem to accomodate for the (women's) short top tube. Shifter's needed a lube, and the paint "repair" is a little on the dodgy side, but love it. And geez those Corsas and 105s roll nice.

I'd love one of these for commuting duties; Reynolds steel, 3 speed hub, DT shifter - just add some fenders and you're set: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sheppar ... 1254141344

Shimano Alfine 11sp internal gear hub, and either flat-bar conversion with Shimano trigger shifters or grab the Microshift n110 integrated lever which is Shimano Alfine compatible....

maybe some more modern brake calipers, 25mm rubber (if it fits) and go nuts.

If it's a fixie/track bike, the rear spacing may be less than what an igh requires
