My suggestion, pump the tires up to 110 psi and go for a nice 50 mile ride. After 50 miles, you will be ready to pay someone to take that thing from you. Trust me, I rode a Mid 80's Cannondale for way to long.

"Probably" is not the right word.stevenaaus wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:23 pm$8500 probably waayyy too much for a 6600 Ultegra bike, even though it's pretty interesting - Cadel Evans model. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/murrumb ... 1279130083

Yeah, I had a Can 2.8 series frame from the early 1990s. It was very light for its day, and good for crits, but pretty harsh. I was young, so I could absorb it, I suppose. A retrofitted Kestrel carbon fork helped a lot, but I didn't weep when the Can, living up to the nickname, finally cracked. I, too, had been riding it for too long.stevenaaus wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 6:29 pmNice old Cannon criterium https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284272055242 and some random forum quoteMy suggestion, pump the tires up to 110 psi and go for a nice 50 mile ride. I wouldn't go near another Can alu frame, ever.

(A friend has a *very* similar monocoque framed bike.. Really unusual ultegra shogun ninja. I can't even find a picture of it and wish I could find out about it).

I can confirm that the bike at CC Gawler is indeed a bike I used to own and is a rare steed.MichaelB wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 10:52 amThat looks VERY familiar ....P!N20 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 6:07 pm...

The only things that appear to have changed are the saddle and wheels.
It's a rare Cinelli Nuovo SuperCorsa and is made from Columbus UltraFoco tubing and there aren't many around. I bought the frame NOS from Italy a while ago and regretted selling it, and as much as I WANT it, I can't justify having another bike in the shed.
I've received some more pics (from CC Gawler) that I can fwd on if you PM me with your mobile number. The frame would need repainting, but it appears it's free from dents/damage. Still has the DA7800 groupset !
Sigh, where did that common sense come from ....

It's possible the seller is a tad ambitious with pricing
