All of which is crazy given that all the bodies involved are government owned.

The path is closed again until the 28th of October as mini-golf is more important than safe cycling:

Is it closed to pedestrians and cyclists or just cyclists?

That's weird it was open today (Sep 27). The mini golf was in full swing on the eastern plaza.

And it’s on again. The paths been closed for more than a week (since Blink 182).

Noticed City of Perth had a tender out relating to this path late last year. No idea what its about.

Noticed a section around the outdoor tennis court on Wellington St is fenced off. Canvas signage on the fence referring to "bike path connection".

Definitely looks like a better connection.

New bit is open. A vast improvement on the old arrangement but the still-better path remains closed.
