Ordered assorted stuff from Ribble - small items including tyres, water bottle, mirror and brake pads. Delivery time was about 6 days.
One item was not available but was sent a week later.

Overall I was very happy with the prices and delivery time from Ribble.

Ordered a pair of 20" x 1-3/8" Continental tyres and tubes only to find they are not the 451mm variety as i expected they would be but the common 406mm :( .

Quite annoyed but also embarrassed because a previous person had asked this question about the product and the answer was right there on the page.

So I have a very nice pair of 20" tyres that I don't really have a use for. Gonna have a think about what to do with them but they might end up on the marketplace forum soon.

I ordered some BB7 disc brakes from Wiggle and the levers said out of stock 2-7 days. They said they'd wait 5 days for out of stock items before sending anything out, they didn't. I ordered on the Monday and recieved the goods on the Saturday, quick. Only problem is, it is now 7 days and the brakes are still out of stock and my new disc brakes are useless without levers. I may need to pinch a lever off my wife's bike as I have an MTBO event in less than 2 weeks, current hydraulic front brake is dead.

I bought 2 Wipperman Connex chains from Wiggle a couple of months back, just got round to fitting them as the tandem synch chain on the weekend and discovered they were both missing their connex links. Other chains I ordered at the same time were complete.
"What a nightmare" I thought, emailed Wiggle yesterday ..
Not a nightmare, they posted two connex links today! Happy now.

Ordered a replacement Ultegra 6700 FD and 6700 11-28 cassette from Wiggle last Friday with standard postage. Arrived today. A workmate who ordered some stuff from Torpedo 7 at the same time is still waiting (which is my experience too).

Funny how a package from Portsmouth, England to Australia can beat one just coming across the Tasman :).

Yep - I sold a bike on here last week, which took less than 7 days to get from Perth to Sydney, yet some times it takes the same time to get something from within the same state!

Bought some dhb Earnley Cycling Bib Shorts from Wiggle in Oct 09. 5months old and about 1500km in them and the stitching holding the chamois in has started coming away on both sides. Sent them back to Wiggle Fri 26th Feb, received email from wiggle this morning saying they are deemed faulty and my account has been refunded the cost + postage fees for me getting them back to them.

Excellent service and the money will go straight back to them on some winter bids or another pair of dhb Knowle Bib Cycling Shorts which are much better quality.

Happy all-round :)

cyclelink.com.au = bad

They took my order and money on the 21st of Feb, for a pair of handlebars. Didn't hear anything for a week, and nothing showed up, so I contacted them, they said it would arrive soon. Contacted them again a few days later, they said they'd have to order it (even thought the website states if it's not in stock, they'll contact you).

I'm still waiting and I wont buy from them again.

Hi

Bike24.net offers tracking on its orders. Tracking is via a German website. The latest update is:
Die Auslandssendung wurde in der Internationalen Paketstation bearbeitet.
which Google translates as:
The diplomatic mission was handled in the International Package Station.
Seems the order has gained a higher status :)

Regards
Andrew

i got a voucher instead, for only 75% of the value of the damaged wheel (no explanation or warning was given that it would only be 75% value).

this is not a bad outcome, as i've ordered a replacement rim and will use the undamaged hub and spokes. i have built wheel before (although not for some time), so i don't mind. however, c r c are an unpredictable mob.

Hey Jules. c r c are shocking. It's just lucky for them they have a good ratio of good vs bad buys, else they'd drive people back to LBS's in droves. It's not a saving if you get the wrong or damaged parts and then spend eons waiting for the right part to arrive or a replacement. I have a set of mint 6600 Ultegra cranks plus BB lying aound in a box because dealing with c r c drove me to despair. Amateurs. I just hope I don't get to try out Wiggle's customer service. The box my Aksiums travelled in had the axles poking out. Fortunately, they weren't damaged. c r c, Awesome pricing and product line up. But you take a chance...

i find them so cheap it's worth taking the chance. if you're happy to buy last year's products, they go for a song. but yeah, their aftersales service is almost comical.

Their prices are generally cheaper than the others. I have ordered once in the past and it was fine, no problems.
Althought , I ordered a set of DuraAce wheels last Friday because they sent me an email saying it was back in stock, checked the website yesterday and it was still PRocessing the order even though the c/c has been debited. Get an email this morning saying they didnt have the item in stock. I basically ordered and paid it within 10 minutes of that email- umm I smell a rat

Lets hope they give me a full refund asap without any fuss.

Ordered some items from Wiggle. Placed the order on Friday at 9:30pm Melbourne time and had the items in my hand on Tuesday afternoon (and that was with Monday being a public holiday!).

Paid the extra $6 for priority postage (because I forgot to select the standard postage) but I've paid more than that to get stuff off ebay sent from Adelaide or Sydney. Can't fault them.

I have noticed that the prices are quite as good as say c r c, but considering you only need to spend $90 to get the free shipping it just depends on how long you can wait to build up a large enough order.

My first experience with Ribble was excellent new tyres and tubes posted and received in 6 days. Prices were excellent compared with local. Having paypal as an option is reassuring.

I can see this is the start of something dangerous to my finances...

I was tossing between Kysrium elites, Fulcrum 3 or even 1s but when the email came through that night with dura ace for $720ish it was a no brainer. Wiggle has them for an extra $100 so I could go that way. No fuss, happy to continue shopping.......

their stock control is a complete joke. it would have been a mistake, but i've found they will refund you without fuss. they mean well, but you just need to be very clear about pointing out where they've screwed up :)

Possible bad experience coming.

I'd ordered a set of Ultegra 6600 SL wheels and 6600 SL groupset. Total cost coming in around $900 delivered (ie. no duty or tax on import).
c r c were out of the wheelset, so i upgraded to the RS80's, now the cost is $1100. Unfortunately i forgot about the duty/tax bit, and they sent them both together on the one invoice.

Could be an expensive little stuff up. Fingers crossed it gets through.

Ouch. How much was postage. The $1k threshold excludes delivery cost.

I’m still waiting for a set of tyres from wiggle. It was a 2-7 day wait, out of stock item. By the time it comes based on an ever extending eta it will be over 2 months. I would have cancelled it ages ago if it didn’t have the discount for the order attached to it.

I ordered some slick MTB tyres from Torpedo7.....received a confirmation email that they'd been posted that same day, received by my post office two days later. Picked them up, they were packed well, as described, and I'm happy.

Would happily order from them again.

postage was free.. maybe if it comes down to it, i can get a letter from c r c saying postage was $200, hehe..
fingers crossed it just slips through though.

Carradice seatpost mount saddle bag arrived today from Wiggle, very fast and efficient. Funny thing is i ordered some R132 shoes at the same time, they said the shoes were posted first, but they haven't arrived yet!
