Positives++

- Heat mouldable to fit feet perfectly
- Really lightweight
- Super stiff
- Markings for lining up cleats perfectly, this is a fantastic feature.

Negatives- -

I can honestly say that there is nothing negative about these shoes. A few small points but nothing negative. They took a few rides to get used to and the moulding process needs to be done properly or you have to redo it over.

Additional notes
I could not believe how much better these shoes are compared to my previous shoes (No names mentioned). I could feel such a difference especially when standing and climbing up hills. The sole of the shoe is so rigid that 100% of your power is transferred to the crank. There is no loss of power through flex and you can really feel it.

The strangest thing is that after about 4 or 5 minutes of putting these babies on it actually feels like I am not wearing any shoes.
I understand that they are expensive but there is nothing worse than numb feet due to uncomfortable shoes. I also really dislike the feeling of plastic chassis shoes when they flex and move when trying to put the power down.
I know a few of the riders on the UCI tour and they are seriously impressed by the Bont shoes. There are a lot of them riding Bont now and that speaks for itself.

Reccomendation
I would recommend the Bont A1 shoes to anyone wanting a quality shoe that WILL improve their cycling. I don’t think we give enough thought to our shoes, but after wearing these for the past 6 weeks or so I can honestly say that my mindset on shoes has had a complete paradigm shift.

Is it true these are not a good fit for wide feet?

I'm not sure but Bont make custom shoes as well. You can get a special mould from them that you use to mould casts of your feet. Bont then hand make shoes to your feet.
