didn't bother cross-referencing - looks like you're on top of that anyway.

In short - they're marginally slower shifting than proprietary chains.

I tried one once - didn't work well with Campy and needed frequent tuning. It was a relief to switch back to a Campy chain once it eventually wore out.diggerdantheman wrote:Performance review (quantitative) of the connex 10 spd chains.

Nice to know Ron, thanks. I suspect tis actually belongs in gear reviews as opposed to instructions - apologies. I've just edited Cobbas post on Mavic manuals to include a link to their 2013 range.

In researching the mysterious object called a drum brake at the front my recently accquired ex-Australia Post delivery bike I came across this link for the SRAM VT5000 & VT3000 Owner's Manual. Only pages 7-9 are the English instructions. They're not exactly high-tech devices, but they seem to have been common as muck, at least in Europe, for a while.
My brake doesn't have a scrap of external branding on it, but I per chance came across a pic on another site which referred to a very very similar looking unit by model name.
Credit for the Canadian Vancruiser forums where it's hosted. Their Tech Doc index page here.

The General Operations Dealers Manual appears to cover most groupsets.

One small area where it's lacking complete info is the compatibility section. While there are some component families that don't mix with others, there are many that do mix even though Shimano only specify them within their groups.marcogiampa23 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 8:41 amDont think it has been mentioned but https://si.shimano.com/#/ has all the pdf and service manuals for pretty much everything. And for the Other Mob, www.sram.com/service Includes sections for Rock Shox and Zipp.
