Love to join if the definition of retro is a bit loose ;)
Given the jellybean and my recumbent it isn't so much loose as not attached to anything...

All welcome. If you like to ride slow then hang around the back with me!

Well so far it’s only the riders that are retro

Well if the riders are a bit retro, then why not ride some newer paths. How about this route? https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44055720

Starting from WSU-Rydalmere near James Ruse Dr, up the new Parra Light Rail Trail to Carlo, cut cross thru Epping to Mac Uni and North Ryde, then down the newish Pittwater Rd shared path to Gladesville, then find our way to Parra Valley Cycleway and back to Rydalmere. Only 35kms with a bit of gentle climbing. Few train stations around to bail out if needed. Just need some tips for coffee/cake stops along this route?

Any alternatives or happy with that?

I suspect I will cheat and use the recently brought to life FrankenTrike as the new motor is just Too Nice!

Steve,
I think you are the "self appointed" ride leader

It looks like we'll have a small crew for Sept 10. :D

I am assembling a new bike on the 9th! No idea if it will be a good idea to try a new bike with too long cranks for a long ride. Might have to use the Encore as I don't want range anxiety with Frankentrike. So y'all will just have to cope with a slow unfit tailender!

So the weekend recumbent ride went well. Lovely day, nice and warm, gentle meander. Then coffee and conversation.

No idea what happened to the retro ride that was supposed to happen at the same time mind you.

Nice to see some OG retro riders reunited and the thread briefly revived

I can take care of the retro bike component if my postcode ever changes back to something beginning with 2...
