Had a set of Brakes arrive from Ribble with some cosmetic damage to one of the calipers. I was a bit peeved, not cause they were expensive(they were cheap actually), but cause they are white, and the damage exposed the alloy below. Ribble's return policy is to send items back at purchasers expense, and I didn't think it worthwhile for the cost of these to send them halfway around the world again, so I sent them a letter with photo of the damage and a suggestion of a small nominal credit to my account as compensation & a sign of good faith. This, in my mind would reassure me they are a good company to continue to deal with, and ensure to them that to use me credit/refund I would have to make a future order.
They responded with an offer of a partial refund (not store credit), which was approx. 24% of the purchase price, and stated this would mean I have paid cost for the brakes.

I am very happy with this outcome, and will happily recommend Ribble Cycles to anyone :D

Now... off to finalise my next order

+1 for wiggle

Ordered a set of Fulcrum Racing 5 from Wiggle Sunday 16th around 10am, received a sales confirmation late Monday 17th. DHL tried to deliver the package at 9:00am on Thursday 20th, but I missed the delivery, and after a bit of a run around finally received the package this afternoon (Monday 24th).
Morale of the story.. from order to my doorstep around 95 hours, and I didn't go for the $7 premium delivery option.

Also placed a order with PBK around the same time, have received a confirmation on the Tuesday 18th, but haven't seen the package yet.

Just a quick update, PBK package of bib shorts & tubes arrived today, no major issue, just a bit slower than wiggle was.

I've been looking at buying a new road bike and came across 'Jangga Bikes' an online shop selling complete bikes, wheels and group sets. The prices just seem too cheap to be true, $550 for a Scram S60&S80 wheel set, $1570 for a 2011 Scott Foil complete bike, http://janggabikes.com/product.php?id_product=281.
It's only around $200 for postage so they don't make all their money back on that.

I'm wondering if anybody has had experiences with this website or seen prices this low before?

It's a scam. You will loose all of your money.
As mentioned elsewhere in the forum here - indonesia currently has a bad reputation at the moment for these type of sale.... yes, too good to be true.

- Price is too good to be true (new gear at a fraction of the wholesale price.. nope).
- bad english
- brand (specialized) confirm that they are not a dealer / wholesaler
- contact details come up in multiple fake websites
- they suggest western union money transfer (bye bye money)
- gmail / hotmail email addresses
- company / peoples names appear online with suggestions that it is a scam

pls don't pay by western union, it is not safe. Or your money won't be back.
Paypal is the most safe payment. i never use western union.
in last couple months,i ordered more than 4 times thru paypal. all packages arrived.

I placed my first order with Jenson USA on Monday and it was dispatched Monday and arrived on Friday.

According to the tracking it was in Melbourne on Tuesday and took until Friday to be delivered to me.

Ordered some XT spd pedals from Cycling Express at their great price of $79 on Thursday knowing they were
not in stock. Speedy friendly email to confirm the order arrived shortly after.
I received an email this morning to say that the package had been dispatched.
Moments after reading the email I got a knock at the door - It was the postie with my pedals.
Superb service considering I live fairly rural and post is usually really slow.
I'm very impressed. :D

I know DX shipping can be slow some times, but this is ridiculous. It better arrive with a customs slip in it explaining it was help up for inspection.
Part shipment received today, but still no lights. I'm back on the bike and actually will be using them now. It's been over 7 weeks since I placed my order.

Never again will I order these type of bike lights from DX. Should have saved myself the hassle and gotten lights from AyUp which would have had the item delivered in a couple of days instead of a few months..

This was my first order dispatched to WA 24 working days ago, a helmet and a jersey and I've still not received it.......has anyone else experienced this kind of wait with Wiggle? They're dealing with it as "lost" btw

No this is unusual. Usually takes about 3-5 days to arrive if you're in Metro Perth (WA), a few days extra if you're out in the country.

It should be all tracked, so they should be able to see where it went missing. Might have 'fallen off the back of a truck'. They'll get you sorted.

Pretty awesome. Mind you, most of those big online British retailers have no-fuss service and returns down pat. Not just Wiggle.

I've ordered tons of stuff from DX over the years , none of it was ever urgent . If you actually Need it don't buy it from DX and on top of that their just not that cheap any more . You can find prettymuch anything they sell from ebay cheaper and probably with more reliable delivery .

I know. I don't mind 2-3 week wait, but 7+ weeks is getting ridiculous. I always check around but DX seemed to be the best place for these lights. I heard reports of up to 4 weeks for delivery on the feedback, and I was cool with that, but 7 weeks (and counting) is OTT.

Another plus review for the Cell guys. Bought a light (rechargeable retina burner) off them a few months ago which failed after a few uses so I dropped it back into the store. From there they sent it back into the warehouse and followed up with a message that they didn't have any replacement so I'd need to order something else to replace it. After a bit of too-ing and fro-ing (due to there being no credit function on the website and telephone tag) I got the order processed and the light came through the next day.

Pretty much the standard interaction with Cell. Most of the delay was in me getting the time to talk to someone in there but once sorted, no problem.

Anyone noticed that wiggle is starting to charge two tier pricing to customers in Australia. A work stand is $101.98 AUD delivered to the UK and $144.50 delivered to Australia - Should have been 101.98 minus VAT s/b $85'ish. Have they always done this or is it just some items?

there are so many online bike stores that the minute they try to rip us off, they will lose us. i always compare prices and bottom line is - if they can't compete, it's their problem.
