Advice on where to stay in Bright

Postby bcj » Thu Oct 31, 2019 3:53 pm

Hello all,

After some advice from those who have stayed in Bright for cycling etc.

There are about 10 - 12 of us keen for about 6 days of high country riding from Jan 2 - 8 but none of us have stayed there. traditionally, we do the Jindabyne area, but this time up for something different.

Can anyone offer me some advice please?

Best,
BCJ

That’s peak holiday time and Bright is VERY popular at that time, and not just with cyclists.

But with 10-12 of you, well you could look for a couple of large homes but you’ll pay top dollar. Personally I’d look at a different time or less people at once. Try Airbnb or BrightEscapes.

Second air bnb. For a popular holiday town Bright has some really average motel accomadation, some of which don't allow you to keep a bicycle in your room.

Bright for such and awesome location with so much to see and do all year, does a lot of things well, but also do a lot of things very poorly.....

Has the potential to be an amazing Township, but the way the council is run, and a lot of businesses are run really let the place down.

I’m hoping you didn’t do this after all?
