Overweight, asthmatic and 47 years old.
Found a 47 tooth chain ring in the shed, which was the right BCD for my cranks.
Tried it just for a laugh, but I'm getting PBs on Strava every time I go out... Loving it! I think it's gonna stay on there.
I swapped my 50 for a 47... and I love it.

I've got a 50-34 but would love to try a GRX 48-31. I never need to go faster, but often have my skinny legs crying out for more easy gears when climbing!
When you are driving your car, you are not stuck IN traffic - you ARE the traffic!!!

I'm coming into this very late, but if it makes cycling more enjoyable, and makes you want to get out there and ride, then just go for it.
I don't care too much for Strava, except to add rides to the list, however any time you beat a PB, well, that's kind of cool.
