Cycle Surry Hills to Carlton / Kogarah

Hi

Does anyone ride from the City to Kogarah / Carlton, around the office works on Princes Highway (corner of Park Road). I have checked Google maps however would be keen to know if any members do this and what their recommendations are.

I commute into Mascot from around that area. 2 options for I take.

1- Head down to Ramsgate/Brighton and head north either along the bike path on the beach, or up Chuter Ave, Crawford Ave, Francis Ave until you get to Bestic St. There you can get on shared path near the old fishing club. Follow this to Marsh St near airport, then link up with the new shared path from Tempe Park to Coward St Mascot. Then you can ride Bourke Rd bike path towards city.

2 - Ride up the hill to the train line at Carlton, cross underneath and follow the rail line all the way to Wolli Creek. Cross Princes Highway at Cooks River Bridge, through Tempe Park and onto shared path to Coward St Mascot. Bourke Rd bike path to city.

Or reverse these coming the other way.
