Seemingly another cut and run by a dollar-seeking buyer post-post-covid slump. Bought high as sales boomed, selling low now?

Looks like this could be the end of Kona Sutra which is a nicely built optioned up Touring bike. I was very interested in the Sutra before I found the Vivente Bikes....hope they can find a buyer and keep producing a good or better product.

I remember seeing an ad on bikeexchange for a Jake the Snake cyclocross bike.
It was early in my cycling days, and I remember the interesting name and beautiful green paint job.
The specs seemed underwhelming at the time, so I looked at other bikes, but thought I might get one in the future.
Apparently that's very very unlikely now.

Seems something that has happened before.
Someone starts something, does well, someone offers big bucks, stuffs it up and then sells it back.

Good news. Might be a chance to get a Kona Roudhouse after all.

Not sure it's a great business model, buying it back cheap, but if they built it up before, they can likely do it again. Keep it simple Kona and fans will probably stick around

Even with original owners, for staff who were screwed, this is a setback as tye chances are slim that the best staff would return. So a strong legacy but a full-reset and long road ahead.
