Wanting assistance with buying 2nd hand bikes

Hello, I’m a single mum and I am wanting advice on what to buy or look at when buying 2nd hand bikes for my teenage children to train on and for competing in Tri’s under $2,000 - brands and models thank you so much

Watch out for bikes that have already been used in triathlons, you never know what kind of condition they are in (internally).

Otherwise you could probably just go for reasonably aero road bikes (such as Giant Propel which I've seen used for this previously) then fit clip on aero bars.
