My first real bike was near identical to the second bike in your post, CWE.
It was purple, had the T bar three speed shifter, I loved it and rode it everywhere around Toowoomba I was able to as a very young kid. Back then you could do that, it was a safer world for kids back then.
Thanks for the pics and the memories.

Thanks for the pics. That LeRun unicycle sort of thing is amazing. I assume you steer it by leaning - what is it like to ride?

Are they Skyways Tuffs? They sure look like them. I had a set on the 2 x Mongooses I had back in the day. Your GT is mad flavour! A mate had one of those in white. Let's see. He had Flite cranks, Custom wheels with Bullseye hubs and Araya rims. I had at the time, my povvo Supermax CroMo. Chalk and cheese in terms of feel. Ahh. even after all these years, the pangs of envy are there. haha. I still marvel at how he looked and lived like a kid from SoCal rather than Darwin. Super fresh duds either hooked up from Albes/Danscomp. A room with a pool table and arcade games. Waterbed. TV/VCR. Pool outside his room. Hot sister and her friends in bikinis. /returns back in time. Where was I? Oh yes. Love your bikes man.C.W.E wrote:a few more for now
Mum and my sister had those Malvern Star ladies bikes. I used to ride Mum's pink Malvern star to HS. The rear rim had disjoined. I'd bunny hop the !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !! out of it. I killed that bike. Sorry Mum, but you didn't ride it anyway. No-one gave me grief riding that bike, possibly because it looked so ghetto.

you have way to much spare time on hands!!!!! Great collection. I have a 5 speed dragster similar to your 3rd photo in your original post!!! Very nice ride -- mine has a black seat -- which i think was the orginal. It's a MS as well.
