Hi, im trying to plan myself a ride from GC to Brisbane, I need some advice. My GC council bike pathway maps booklet only goes to about logan hyperdome. When i hit Slackscreek if i vere off to my left and go along Logan rd, when i get to the end where it goes up onto M1 or right to Mount Gravat, do i go right to Mount Gravat to find the start of the V1....Can anyone tell me where the V1 starts
I,m not quiet. I just dont plan murders out aloud.

From what I can see on a map you have get onto Eight mile plains cycling path at the corner of the m2 and logan road and follow it all the way into town. I have not been on it myself so I cant comment on the condition. Look it up on google maps

There is a newer section now that starts at the Gateway overpass on Logan rd, just after Levington Rd and before the Glen hotel.
There is a ped crossing to make it easier to cross over Logan Rd when heading in-bound.
Follow the path up to Miles Platting Rd, cross at the lights and continue on the path to Logan Rd, cross there and continue on the V1
Helps to eliminate the Miles Platting/Logan Rd intersection
From the Hyperdome use the western side service road, there is a bike path section to avoid the Loganlea Rd interchange area now, pops you out on the service road just before the big roundabout by Ikea, which has finally been resurfaced and made much easier to negotiate (rode it this morning) keep on the service road to up you hit Logan Rd at Underwood, continue up Logan Rd past the Big W shopping centre, a bit of a pinch point with traffic going left into Beenleigh Rd toward Runcorn, but usually no problems, keep heading up Logan Rd up past the BP station cross Underwood Rd, there is a verge but sometimes has crap in it, the entrance to the V1 will be 1-2 k up the road.
