For general info, a thread from the general section was removed and the OP informed.
It relates to a brand reputation issue and I have recommended that the OP contact the brand to resolve directly.
The moderators and myself review all reports, whether they are from individuals, brands or brands which advertise.
Generally when there is a dispute, it is better to resolve directly rather than through a public forum.

Interesting. I've seen many other posts critical of certain products/brands. Will those posts be removed? Presumably there are reputation issues there as well?

Interesting- that's the first moderator decision I have ever disagreed with. It's for the same reasons as Biker JK.

Not keen on that decision but then I only visit here...I don't own the furniture.
Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle

It is better if the poster resolves the differences with the brand directly.
I sent a PM to the original poster requesting they resolve it directly as these forums are not the place to have or continue a disagreement.
Any brand or individual - regardless of whether they advertise or not, can report content posted and each report will be taken onboard. There is no special treatment. In this case, as many are aware, the brand / distributer is a forum member and reported the post and in the report noted that the customer had never contacted them. If the customer hasn't contacted the brand, then I accept that it questionable to challenge the brand reputation and quality of customer service.
Based on the reaction, I understand that many are making a judgement based on 'partial information' which was posted in the forum. When the OP chose to continue to challenge the brand reputation, it was logical to remove the thread.
This problem between the poster and the brand should be resolved directly, and I would once again encourage the poster to contact the brand.
This is a forum, so of course there will be conspiracy theories, speculation and assumptions but understand that if someone challenges your reputation, your work, your family or your beliefs, if you report this I will take it seriously and ensure that this forum is not used as a platform to discredit you.
