Main North Rd
Postby MikeM » Sun Sep 13, 2015 2:55 pm
Just doing a bit of planning for the TDU. Pretty good with getting to all the stages except the stage 1 finish. Looking at Google Maps, Main North Rd appears to be the most direct route from the city but is it ok for cyclists or would you guys suggest another route. Thanks Mike.

The northern connector (from port wakefield hwy to gawler) has a veloway alongside however I can't imagine riding up main north road to get to it would be much fun (or particularly safe). Maybe those who do lots of that sort of thing would disagree but I'd take the train to Gawler instead.
You can always do more km in the hills afterwards.
