I spotted this article on female participation in sport, and the writer talks of "becoming a cyclist". Perhaps people might enjoy the read.

It was a good read and definitely stated the case for why fewer women seem to cycle (or take part in a lot of sports). I liked that she pointed-out the way technique is learned through practice rather than philosophically.
