Hi all. Have a Giant Trance 27.5 with PX-C 2 alloy rims and have just discovered the rear has a fairly extensive split running down the middle. Only 30 months old, run fairly low pressures (tubed), and don't do jumps etc so a little disappointed. Anyway, questions are
1. Should I just go get an OEM replacement or is this opportunity to get something better / lighter / tubeless etc. and
2. If the latter, what would people recommend?
Cheers

you probably won't be able to get an OEM rim/wheel, and why would you want to replace like for like after not he best experience?
DO you just want a rim, or a whole new wheel, or a wheelset? How much do you want to spend

Get something better; the P-XC series wheels are pretty ordinary.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Option 1b...without a doubt.
On a Trance I would pick something like this http://linksports.com.au/spank-oozy-tra ... e-wheelset or go with a custom wheel based on the same rim and a Hope hubset. For a budget hub that is still better than the Giant OE hub you have go with the Novatec F&R D771/772 pair on Cycling Deal for $135.

Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle
