Postby LateStarter » Sun Sep 30, 2018 1:37 pm

The Perth-Albany-Perth 1200 kicks (pedals) off at 0500 Monday 01 October (Perth time, 0700 Eastern) ie tomorrow!

There are 66 starters listed with 31 from overseas, the route is at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28524000?beta=false.

Almost half the field have tracking devices and these can be followed at https://spotwalla.com/locationViewer.php?id=581

Seems like only yesterday we were following the 2014 edition.

Good luck to all the riders and happy following to the rest of us.

Was at the bike inspection and local rider registration today as a vollie;

The excitement was palpable on a classically beautiful local spring day.

thanks for prev. links; I know Wayne as the 'R.O.' defers such techo details onto others.

Thanks fore posting.

I am currently reading the Rupert McGuiness book on the IndiPac and I am really enjoying it and this is something to follow in that vain.

Thanks for the link. Been searching everywhere for one.
Now I can keep some track and know when to turn up at the Albany overnight to give a hand.

Things no doubt will be ramping up at the residential college in Albany from later on this arvo and into the evening. I'll be arriving there by car hopefully well before the thick of it.

Volunteers can be spotted in the very dapper 'guerilla flanno' shirts.

The UK riders seem to have enjoyed it and appreciated the good organisation, support and Vollies efforts.
