Hi All,
I have been searching for a safe place to leave my bike when riding into the city but have not been able to find anything that I am comfortable leaving my expensive bike in.
I have seen the Parkiteer storage available and it's a joke. Theives have gotten used to scouring these storage places in search for expensive bikes they can steal.
Melbourne is supposed to be the most liveable city in the world but we are so far behind the rest of the world when it comes to safe bike storage in the Melbourne CBD.
Does anyone know if these bike storage facilities will ever be availabe in Melbourne as I would definetly use them.

Have been looking further into this company called Smarstackers and the system they have for bike storage at train stations would be amazing.
Some of the features of their bike tower are:
- 24/7 CCTV footage
- Proven in Europe
- Completely weatherproof
- Leave all your accessories on the bike/including helmets and bags
- E-Charging options available
- Fully automated (No Lifting involved)
- App for iso and android to see availability
- 4 parking bays for 118 bikes
- Less than 30 sec to use
- Language selection
Take a look at the video of one of their units in operation:

Last Manufacture of Speedwell Bikes and Vogue Speedwell
Postby Nardear » Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:49 am
Hi there,
Does anybody know in what year Speedwell (which I think was sold to Malvern Star in 1965) stopped manufacturing in Australia and if they continued at all overseas or was it never manufactured overseas? Also, does anybody know anything about the ladies Speedwell bike model 'vogue'? I have not been able to find any literature on it at all.
Thank you.
