I've noticed in this video flyover of the inland rail line currently being built between Melbourne and Brisbane is that there's a planned bike path that appears to run between 2 rural towns. Is that the limit of it, or is there a plan for a more extensive route? See video starting 3:30

If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

Interesting that but haven't heard anything about this (cycle path) along side of the rail corridor but can't see why there can't be more of it, especially when they have all of the equipment there at the time.

I worked in Gatton for a year, I'm fairly sure that section is only to actually permit safe pedestrian/cyclist transit over that particular creek The bridges over the creek otherwise were an absolute nightmare, even in a car.
I know someone who is one of the chief engineers on that section, I'll ask him.

I had a talk to the engineer - he confirms that they are aiming to get funding for a rail trail for the entire Queensland section.
It's not guaranteed but has a good chance of happening apparently.
Good news!

Thanks for the update Mr Purple, that would make a great rail trail if it happens
