Yes, terrible loss of a young & talented person.
The article seems to hint toward something which I hope isn't true.

The contact details for Lifeline at the end unfortunately give you the answer.
That doesn't make it any less tragic. RIP.

They always put that there for a reason, sadly.
All I can say is that if someone is reading this and feeling the pressures of things how they are at the moment, it's okay to reach out and talk about it - it's not an admission of weakness, it's simply a fact of being human, we aren't machines and sometimes things get to us.
That's why we have to look out for each other.

Yes very sad indeed but there could be a lot more to come out about the loss of a young life, if there is any truth to what appeared on NZ Cycling page. It wasn't there for a long time but it does ask questions, so I hope there are answers coming for the family and her friends if there is truth in it.
It looks as though, there is substance to the story!

I don't suffer fools easily and so long as you have done your best, you should have no regrets.

Noticed in that article that Raelene Castle heads up the NZ high performance unit. I bet she thought controversy was behind her after she left the NRL Bulldogs CEO gig.

There is so much emphasis placed on “success” in sport these days rather than participation.
Saw that even when daughter was player State soccer, the emotions of being selected or not etc were huge and there was NO support or program to help them cope with that stuff.
It’s really sad to see the end results, and there seems to be little action across all sports despite all the available evidence before them.
It’s great to celebrate the medals and records, but …..
