I damn near had a SMIDSY on Saturday with a bloke staring right at bright orange 3 wheeler with a couple of square metres of bright orange canopy at just below driver eye height as he pulled left out of the side street in front of me. I dunno if he was oblivious or entitled but years of two wheeling experience meant I realised in time and got out of the way. These 4 wheeled killing machines should be registered I say, and the operators should have to pass a road rules test or something, stop them doing that sort of thing!
Zebee..that's probably because thay are looking for "vehicles larger than me", and also possibly have never ridden a bike, pedal or motor. it's not in their nature
I agree, get steel box motor operators tested et.al.,
I don't generally have the SMIDSY problem, like you, I've had a good 40+ yrs commuting on motorcycles in Sydney traffic.... ( eyes wide open, & brain engaged on the 3 to 4 cars in front, those either side AND the one behind )
then again, there is the "3m long, 1m high, 1m wide bright green Jellybean" factor
That is how I have managed to survive riding motorcycles for over 52 years... now my motorcycle days are over I treat bicycle riding the same way...
