Watch out!

I am 80 this year am slow up hills and have ordered my ebike.
For Melbourne readers I was coming up from the Pipeline Bridge at the Fairfield Boathouse riding along the top part of the T which is intersected by the Main Yarra Trail meaning that the right of way was mine.
This entitled bloke on a road bike shot out of the Main Yarra Trail in front of me and shouted to me "watch out". I guess that he did not want to get any additional wear on his brake pads!

Reminds me of a bloke a while back who yelled out "stop! stop! STOP!" as he followed his mate past a sign at a T junction.

I figured he was trialing voice activated brakes, but they weren't working

It doesn’t really matter who you are or what you are riding, we all have to be really alert to everything these days, expect the unexpected. It was even worse during the lockdown with people out exercising. Sudden u-turns galore. Rights of way are great on paper, but I'll take self preservation instead.

Happy 80th this year Mike, what a great achievement to still be riding bicycle at that age.
My M-I-L in Jan now 82 rides her bike ( Momachari) everywhere every day and the amount of stuff she brings home on it is incredible including a 12kg box of bottled water.
I hope to be able to do that at 80 plus, you both have inspired me.
